Larone Ellison is a DEI strategist, educator, and U.S. Navy veteran with over 15 years of experience in higher education, community outreach, and organizational development. He specializes in breaking down complex topics around equity, race, and gender into real-life language that meets people where they are. Larone has led initiatives across public institutions, tech startups, and nonprofits, helping individuals and teams build inclusive practices that actually stick. He is the author of DEI Is and DEI Ain’t, a workbook designed to reintroduce equity to those who may be unsure, skeptical, or simply tired of the buzzwords. Larone also co-hosts the podcast Work in Progress, exploring workplace culture, identity, and growth for the next generation of professionals.
